Not playing this year « Result #4 on May 7, 2008, 6:39pm »
After a few good friends of mine in the league (mostly on my own team) convinced me to play this year, we as a team have decided not to enter the league at all.
When we found that the entry fee was still at $250 with only 8 teams (at the time) in the league and that the season was going to end in about a month, the Jackrabbits players discussed it and decided unanimously to NOT enter the league this year.
8 teams times $250 equals $2000. Plus, there was a little over $200 in the league treasury coming into the season. The Rec Park charges $100 per team for getting the fields ready for the leauge, so that's $800. Where's the other $1400+ going? I didn't get a satisfying answer for this question. Apparently there aren't any umpires to pay. The league didn't furnish any balls like it did last year. The number of teams has dwindled to less than two thirds of what it used to be. The number of games wasn't worth the entry fee. So, in light of all this, it just didn't add up to something of which we wanted to be part.
Thanks to all our friends in the league with whom we've had the pleasue to play the past few years. It's sad to see the league come to this, but I guess many good things tend to come to an end sometime.

Well, we are sorta hoping to get rid of some of that junk this season Batman. Just get right down to some good ol softball playing without all of the accusations, being all in everyone elses business, getting OFFENDED every time someone else does something, or anything of resemblance to something along these lines.
Dont get me wrong...I know its alot to ask for everyone to actually come out there to have fun and leave their materialistic and pretentious natures at home, but hey... im an optimist! Always looking for the best in people. And if this season is no different from the last, I will have fun playing with some good ol SINNER people in a mens league somewhere the next season. So good, good church people, if you want to continue to have a league to play softball in, lets straighten up and see if we can represent ourselves with some class and civility out there.
Shoot.. I FREAKIN DARE YA! If youre up for the challenge, tell me! (wow...thats almost callin ya guys and girls out! LOL)

2008 SOFTBALL « Result #16 on Oct 23, 2007, 10:05pm »
Just a little message here in October to see what kind of interest our messageboard can get drummed up in softball for the 2008 Season. Of course theirs going to be alot of new things happening and I for one am very excited about getting back on the field. As warm as it has been, it wouldnt be out of the question to get some softballin in on a few of the weekend days upcoming soon. Nothing formal, just a little friendly practice sessions.
Hope to see many more of you online and active in the messageboard in the next few days, weeks, and months leading up to 2008.
Already looking forward to a great new season of fun and fellowship with all of you.

3) Sign-up for 2 or 3 Free Trials with no obligations (these are very easy to do and well worth the time spent doing them)
4) When completed you will get confirmation and expected delivery date of your bat (usually a week)
This does work - there is little time invested for what you get in return. You don't have to dish any money out or give any credit card or bank account information. These are no obligation trials and samples. Have fun with your new bat.
