Hey, I wanted to take the time to apologize to anyone who's been offended by any of the Jackrabbits. Some of us, including myself from time to time, have been at least a bit obnoxious. While most of it has been in fun, I acknowledge the fact that certain people have been offended. We definitely don't want to see people have hurt feelings or become upset with us. Personally, I have way too many friends in this league, and I love every one of you. Softball is not worth the loss of friendship.
If anyone wants to talk to me about it, just give me a call. I'm a down to Earth, approachable guy as most of you know. I just want to make sure we haven't caused any hard feelings; and if we have, I want to make it right.
Another thing is there are a lot of players on my team who are quiet, peaceable people who don't deserve to be classified as troublemakers, etc., just because the team has recently gotten a damaged reputation. So, please also keep this in mind.
Regardless of what the appearance may be sometimes, we love you guys. Please accept my most sincere apologies and let's go on and enjoy our league and this wonderful sport. Thanks, and God bless!

Same here. I get loud at times but I do not mean to hurt anyone intentionally. God knows my heart. I also ask for forgiveness and I have forgiven those whose said things to me as well. I agree with Marcus, this game is not worth losing friends over.

I have not been offended personally by anyone from the Jackrabbits team but I think it is honorable that you guys have stepped up and apologized. There have been mixed emotions around the softball field about your team, and like you said it's only a game and not worth losing friends or the respect of fellow Christians over.
I am in no position to judge the intentions of anyone but this is definitely a step in the right direction. And there are definitely players on the Jackrabbits team that do not deserve the label of being a trouble maker (Chuck is always a pleasure to encounter on the field - just to name one). Good luck guys!

Thanks for the comments, Jeff. I know when I get on the field, I tend to be a little intense. It's just my nature, I guess. In fact, I doubt I could play checkers without getting competitive...haha Anyway, thanks, man. I appreciate you, bro.

(Chuck is always a pleasure to encounter on the field - just to name one). Very kind comments, and very much appreciated Jeff. Bless you man. Ive known most of the Jax for years now, and the new guys to the team this season have really meshed very well with us, and we are all a tight knit family in my eyes.

Yep, I was definitely one of those kids that threw his nintendo controller while playing Mike Tyson's Punchout and Zelda! LOL I cant begin to tell ya how many Atari joysticks I broke over the course of the reign of the Atari 2600. I never graduated up to the 7800 however. I was alot easier on the Nintendo controllers, since they werent as fragile, but I went through at least 3 of those too. I went through 2 Nintendo Consoles however! LOL The Super Nintendo...I had good luck with it. Not any real problems to speak of, and me and my friends would gather and play that thing all night long sometimes. I miss the SNES actually! I, but PRIMARILY my son, have been rough on the Playstation, and the Playstation 2 controllers though. Hes definately inherited the temper that I used to struggle with. I was like a skinny incredible Hulk, only without the green skin and the muscles and extra abilities! LOL I havent really had that temper for many years now, as that is one of the things that God has helped me to push out of my life. Sure I still get mad, but as the Bible says: Get mad if you will, but dont sin because of it! As you all may tell, I have ALOT of free time right now! So, bear with me as needed. Chuck

I for one have about about the same feelings as jeff does. All of our team is in it to have fun. If we were just in it to win, then we'd be upset alot this year.
I did have a problem with the way I was treated over the phone about umping one night. After just being in a car wreck at lowes, I was called over the phone and didn't get the "christian feeling" I was wanting on the other end. I know it is our teams responsibly to have umps at the games we are assigned to, although things do happen. We have played atleast 3 games this year with no ump and we had to get another player or fan to ump the game. I was very respectful when asking them to help out and i didn't get on the phone and call someone with a bad attitude.
That being said, i'm over it. I have no problems with anyone on your team. I am a very competitive person. But in Church league softball, I put those feelings behind and try to have fun with fellow Christians. Isn't that what it's about? Cause for a moment this season it seemed like it wasn't. Let's all enjoy our time together and thank God we're able to do so. God Bless.

Of course you understand I didn't know you had been in a wreck when I first started talking to you. It's a bad position to have to be in to have to make such calls. When we talked, I never had the impression that there was any tension between us, and I definitely never had any intentions of being disrespectful. As manager of a team, there will be times when you are asked to help with certain things regarding your team. I simply had a job to do as league director, nothing personal. I'm sorry you feel I was disrespectful, but I can't imagine anything I said should have been taken that way, Chris.
I do want to say the purpose of this thread is to clear the air regarding the conduct of our team. I can't apologize for trying to do my best to help this league run smoothly in my capacity as league director. Sometimes I find myself in an unpopular position because of it, but that just comes with the territory, I guess. Thanks.

So, there's no way I could have known, let alone called anyone about it.
