Some have asked about the protest procedure in our league. It's outlined partially in our bylaws and in further detail in the ASA rule book. To summarize: Team protesting must announce to the umpire and opposing manager immediately that "the game is being played under protest" when a rule is disputed to have been incorrectly enforced by an umpire in the game.
Both managers sign both scorebooks and show to umpire for approval (for purposes of keeping good record of the game situation). The game continues and is completed as normal.
Team pays $35 protest fee to the league.
If the dispute involves an actual league or ASA rule (league rule supercedes all ASA rules in conflict), the protest hearing is granted.
If the team wins the protest, the game is resumed at the point of the incorrect call with the exact same players on each team participating as if the game was still in progress. The $35 is refunded to protesting team.
If the team loses the protest, the money is forfeited to the league and the game remains as called. I hope this answers any questions anyone has regarding our protest policy. If you have any questions, just ask.

I've had a couple people ask about this, so I thought I'd put an FYI out there.
