Yes, I would like to know how we had to forfeit the game when both teams had a controversy.. By the way, to be correct, none of our fans never went on the field...everything that went on took place behind the Jackrabbit bench, not on the field. I would understand if a fan charged the field to take out a player, but nothing like that happened.
It is a personal choice for a player to play in church league softball. They are out there to have fun, but when it gets to where they may get hurt intentionally, then it is not worth it at all. I also can understand accidents happening when a ball is hit unintentionally up the middle but when it happens several times in 2 or 3 innings when it didnt happen at all the game before when the other team was winning. After the first incident in the game before the championship, I would do my best not to hit up the middle in fear of getting something started. Jason could have said something the first time the ball was hit at him, intentional or not, but after the 4th time something had to be said. Thats when playing for fun isnt worth it when serious injury is a great possibility.
All of these things that I have said, they aren't pointed at anyone directly...I'm just trying to understand why we had to forfeit, when both teams had the argument. I don't care about the trophy, I would rather have the 3rd place team have it, they deserve it more.
