Shawn, I'm not sure how a 14-team double elimination bracket would look. You could probably search for one on Google and find one...then plug in the teams from the standings (they're on our home page).

The way I understand this 14-team bracket, the top 2 seeds at the end of the season will have a bye in the first round of the tournament.

Well, now that we have 13 teams instead of 14, the tournament bracket has changed. Darters didn't have a 13-team bracket on their site. So, I did some brainstorming on our tournament. The top three teams would receive byes in the first round of this tournament.
The first round would play out something like this: (note the numbers would be the final place in the standings)
Top half - 4 vs. 13 and 6 vs. 11 (winner of both games face each other in 2nd round)
8 vs. 9 (winner faces 1 in 2nd round)
Bottom half - 5 vs. 12 (winner faces 3 in 2nd round)
7 vs. 10 (winner faces 2 in 2nd round)
And, of course, the losers go to the loser's bracket.

My guess for who will be in the tournament if it was now would be.... hhhhuuuummmm, let me think... hhhuuummmm.... Maybe Rank 1) First Assembly and they might have a (14 - 2) record... And the other team, uuuummmm Richlands P.... no no no no... they are pretty good, but I don't think that they will be in the final 2... Soul's Harbor 3.. no no no no no... another really good team, but not quite as good as... Rank 3) Baptist Valley 2, yep that is my pick, and I am predicting that they will have a (14 - uuuummmm 4) record... Let's see if I get it right or not... Who knows, I may be way off.. we will see...  |
