Please pray for the shooting that occured today at Virginia Tech. This is a sad day for everyone. 22 people are died and at least 29 are injured. Please no jokes about Virginia Tech because this could have happened anywhere. No time to bash the school. Thanks.

I seriously doubt anybody would be making any jokes regarding this. I've spent most of the day trying to gather details about this for the radio station. There are 3 or 4 people from the Richlands area in the engineering program at Tech, and they could have possibly been in that building (as it was part of the engineering school there).

Now the number of those killed is up to 31.
I know of two people that are ok. One didn't have classes today and so he's ok in his dormroom. The other guy I know came home to Richlands last night and is here today. So I know that they are ok physically. Thank God for that. Hopefully the others students that are from around here in the engineering program are ok as well.

From the Woodworth Christian Softball League in North Lima, Ohio, I just wanted to express my prayers and thoughts for those in the Virginia Tech area. As soon as I heard of the terrible news I thought of your softball league, and those who may know someone at Tech. Not only Virginians, but the whole nation mourns with this sort of tragedy.

Thanks...we appreciate that very much. We're about 2 hours away from the Tech campus, and most of us know or have known someone who goes/went to school there.

My Aunt is an English teach at VT and she told me she was only two buildings away from the shootings yesterday.

I also think Graham High School had about 30 kids up there on a field trip. They had to keep them in a basement of a building.
